Bringing New Development and Excitement to Montgomery County

Nestled in the midst of one of the nation’s leading agricultural reserves, The Crossvines is bringing new development and excitement to Montgomery County, Maryland with a new restaurant, special events venue, and winery. This picturesque destination intertwines new ventures and hospitality with Maryland’s rich farming history. The development is led by owner Montgomery County Revenue Authority and developer Weller Development Partners.

The mission of The Crossvines is to create economic opportunities and investment in the agricultural tourism, events, and wine-making industry sectors of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve with educational programming, research facilities, and acres of demonstration vineyards. Cultivated partnerships with local producers and educational institutions mean The Crossvines is first and foremost a celebration of this beautiful area’s makers and products, both the well-known and yet-to-be-discovered.

The Crossvines offers an introduction to the Agricultural Reserve and is a business incubator that contributes to investment in local economy; an accessible escape that offers a closer-than-you-think destination; a tranquil, nostalgic retreat that celebrates local history and beauty; and a catalyst for connecting visitors to local farmers and producers, right at the source.

Visit a place where you can toast to your successes, enjoy a fantastic meal, walk down the aisle, partner with grape gurus, grow your business – and learn along the way.

Life is what you make of it. Make it special and meet us at The Crossvines.

Crossvine, Bignonia capreolata

Crossvine, Bignonia capreolata, is a semi-evergreen climbing vine, native to Maryland. Although at times considered to be a weed, the Crossvine has showy, scarlet trumpet flowers that provide essential nectar for native species and hummingbirds. The Crossvine is a connector. It’s a bloomer. It reaches for the highest branches and succeeds, tendril by tendril, making its way to the top.
